I LOVE Man About The House and am collecting all of the DVDs. Just bought Series 3 DVD on Monday. Love it! Classic comedy at its most memorable. Much better than the crappy, foul-mouthed, belittling, nasty comedy of today.

I'm thinking of buying all of the official DVD releases now as the Paramount Channel are hacking the episodes to bits. I hate the way they are editing out the odd (mildly) offensive word even in the late night/early morning repeats and whole scenes are being cut for some reason. I have an imported S2 release with extras, but am a bit disappointed that the UK releases haven't any extras as yet. I know Richard hasn't been too well and may not have been able to contribute, but Brian and Sally have done commentries on the Aussie DVD's so why not the UK ones?

Thanks for that. I assumed that it wouldn't have been a huge seller and maybe that's why there were no extras, but I often think that's a bad decision as many people, myself included, can just copy the episodes onto DVD rather than buying the official releases. I suppose with Paramount butchering the episodes I'll have to go out and buy them anyway though!

sthom-1, you can get hold of that 'All Star Comedy' DVD on eBay. I think the seller is based in Australia, it comes up from time to time if you keep a look out for it. It's not the best quality but there are also clips of Richard from 'Doctor In Charge' or 'At Large', never can remember which one, as he was filming both shows at the time.
