Dame Thora died in 2002 or 3, so she would only be in episodes filmed before that.

Yeah she's not even been in the latest episodes. The ones that are currently airing are repeats from 2003, her last series. Did the guy who played her character's husband die as well? He disappeared from the series a few years ago. You know the guy who always thought Barrie was too clean.

His name is Gordon Wharmby (Wesley Pegden) and he died of lung cancer on 18-05-02. Must have been from all the exhaust smoke from his shed in LOTSW.

Sadly, Dame Thora Hird died on 15 March 2003 after suffering a stroke, aged 91.

Also, Gordon Wharmby died of lung cancer on 18 May 2002, aged 68.
