Im’ sure this has probably been asked before but, where…what does the title of the show mean or come from “last of the summer wine “ what is the last of the summer wine in reference for/too

I'm not sure, but I always took it metaphorically, though they are past the prime of their life (the "summer" of their life), they have come back (acting young again) to get the "last of the summer wine" (aka a "last taste of summer" or a last taste of youth).
Just a thought, though. I don't know for sure.
That is pretty much how Roy Clarke described it in an interview. He said they were youths that just happened to be a bit older. I thought that was a great way to look at it.
