maybe its too early to know anything, maybe they are doing the same thing again for this year, i thought series 28 started later than planned last year back in July.
sharei looked on wikipedia:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_of_the_summer_wine
And it said as of 23rd May 2008, there is 268 episodes, does this mean that the 29th series is coming 23rd May, whether its wikipedia being so stupid.
I hope it starts soon.I was looking forward to the xmas special, but there was none.I dont wanna see it end.I still enjoy it!
share35 years, that is alot of years, the series hasn't lost its sense of humour with what they come out with. I hope it doesn't end soon either. I haven't heard anything about it ending, there are no signs i believe as far as i know.
shareIts one of the few shows still in production that I enjoy.

I hope its soon.
shareI stopped watching it about 10 years ago because there were only about three basic plots, all of them revolving around physical comedy.
I would like it if they got a few new writers in. I don't mean to modernise it in anyway, just to return a little of the wit and sarcasm that i remember from years past. I used to love Clegg's sarcasm and very dry delivery of gags.
"Never Eat More Than You Can Lift" - Miss Piggy.
I read on Wikipedia that series 30 is currently in production. However it also said that Peter Sallis And Frank Thorton will no longer appear in outdoor scenes due to insurance reasons.Whatever that means. They are both 87.
shareSeries 29 starts this Sunday, 22 June.
