A sad time for all LOTSW fans everywhere.
I think that this makes Cleggy the only one left from the original pilot episode - I guess that the BBC will show quite a lot of Kathy Staff episodes now

*sigh* As much as I adore Peter Sallis and Clegg and the rest, I kind of feel it's over. Nora's stories were such a big deal in the past, and they tried to do what they could without Bill Owen/Compo to drive her stories, but it just feels like it's getting harder to hold that "old feeling" together with most of the original people gone. Now, even Sallis is getting less screen time.
I don't want to say it, but it feels like the end may be in sight. :'(

I'm sure he would have to care because he worked with her for 35 years and I'm sure he did say in an interview that he will miss her and that he felt very upset with the devastating news.
