They knew it was the 'LOTSW' last epidsode...

I believe the producers knew it was the last episode. I will not reveal yet but here is the clue. What was the bus driver's (Conrad) and Moira's relationship outside of "LOTSW" Think about it and respond here.

Anyhoo, for what it's worth, I think it was a great series right up to the last and I will watch anything else they care to produce under this ubershow's umbrella.

"Conrad" and "Moira" are (or, their actors- tresses) both quite unknown in IMDB. Please translate.

I think wed all knew it was the last, the beeb announced it was ending.

Of course they knew, they even called the last episode "The Last of the Last of the Summer Wine".

OK, I had forgotten about this riddle. Now for the reveal. Conrad and Moira were both undertakers in previous roles on the beeb. Very cruel and symbolic. They were driving the cast to their final resting spot. What a show.
