MY FAVORITE 'KOJAK' MOMENT

This is from an episode (can't remember the title) where Kojak and Crocker travel to an old-fashioned Western town to extradite a small-time crook and bring him to New York to testify against a big-time crook.

Well, the two become involved in an old-fashioned Western barroom brawl and are thrown in jail.
Despite the fact that he knows the deputy sheriff is in league with the big-time crook, Kojak demands his one phone call.
He calls his precinct in NYC, although he knows the crooked deputy is listening in on a ham radio, and demands to speak to Stavros.
And the two men chatter in their native language, which--to the deputy--is all Greek to him!
LMAO!!!

The late Judith Lowry played a feisty old widow in this episode.
I loved watching Kojak kiss her hand at the end as he and Crocker were about to board the train to New York.

I just watched that the other day and was laughing at the part where that big fat guy takes Crocker's pen and says "finders keepers", and Crocker says "What is this... nursery school?". Something about the contrast between the two, and that he had to let the guy keep the pen made it hilarious.

There was another one the other night where Kojak calls back to the precinct to get some information from Crocker (whose feet are on the desk), and the first thing Kojak says is "Crocker, get your feet off the desk!".

It's been so long since I saw them but I do remember the "Crocker, get your feet off the desk!"

One of my favorites was when Stavros was at some crime scene, maybe a bank. Kojak, back at the squadroom, called over to speak to "Detective Stavros." The person who answered -- the bank manager? -- said that there were a number of police there, he didn't know which one was Stavros.

Kojak replied, "He's short, fat and he looks like a gorilla. Ya can't miss him."

I think the manager did spot Stavros and said, "Here officer, it's for you."
