ITV4 has broadcast all 5 series daily over the past few months. I have watched them all.
What's the view on the change in titles, and music, for Season 5? Personally I loved the original titles. They are kind of stuck in time......
From a content point of view my favourite series was the fourth. Good stories.
I was unaware of this but I just realized I have never seen any episodes beyond season 4, ever!
Gotta say, I hate the season 5 titles and music. What is with the stops in the music, the really quick cuts, old theme gone???
Kojak airs here in the US on ”retro” stations like MeTV and Antenna TV. For a long time you had to live in a city where a channel just happened to buy Kojak for syndication which was rare. I only got into Kojak in the last 8 years or so.
Season 4 is also my favorite. I actually find Kojak and other movies/TV shows set in the real 1970's NYC very comforting for some reason.
Is that Amazon Prime pumpkin-spiced?
The titles and music for season 5 are not as good but that's just my opinion. The titles for Starsky and Hutch were changed a lot as well but I still preferred the season 1 music. I have recently watched all of the episodes on ITV 4 for Kojak and at least they were shown in sequence. I am now watching the Streets of San Francisco and it's great. I hope the younger generation catch up with these classic shows.
