So many actors I recognize!

I love watching this show on Me TV now and seeing the old New York that I remember from childhood. I also love to spot all the actors more and less famous who show up in what now appear to be cameos. Morgan Fairchild, Dominic Chianese, Irene Cara and Lynn Redgrave all in one episode! And they're all like that.

Isn't that fun? I've seen Richard Geer. Another episode had Harvey Keitel....so many others before they were big names....

It's going to be a bumpy night!"

you should check out Combat, there were a lot stars on that show including 2 appearances by the Late Terry Savalas.

Lol - what I really love is, thanks to MeTV, I'm starting to recognize the lesser-knowns now too. I caught 'Combat' last night and Mike Farrell (of 'MASH' fame) was on, but they also had Buck Taylor from 'Gunsmoke'. I also caught on episode of 'Wanted: Dead or Alive', and recognized Paul Burke, from '12 0clock High'.

Great stuff!

between MeTV and Antenna TV so many shows have actors before their hit shows, like Alan Alda on Phil Silvers show SGT. Bilko. and many others where you never saw on TV Land which keeps showing over and over same shows including tv shows from the 90's or how many years has Andy Griffith show been on TV LAND. Yes I am a fan of Andy Griffith.

reply

Yes! Exactly!

I've also found RetroTV, which has some good stuff too.

I really love seeing these actors in early roles. The other evening, I caught Robert Redford in his 'Twilight Zone' episode - 'Nothing in the Dark', with the incomparable Gladys Cooper. It was a 2-fer, as there was another episode that evening with Redford on "Alfred Hitchcock Presents'.

Good stuff. And much as when I saw Brad Pitt in 'Thelma and Louise', you knew that this kid was going somewhere. Good stuff.
