Some of the music choices on this show were absurd.

I was watching "Justice for All" on MeTV tonight and the opening scene has two young women buying heroin from a dealer. During this scene, the background music is something out of a western movie. Not only that, it was type of music that would be used for a lighter comedic moment.

It's almost as if this music was spliced in because of rights issues, or temporary music that was never replaced. They play this music on and off throughout the episode. These scenes would have been much more effective without any music.

This was not the first time that out of place music was used on this show.

I need to go back and listen to that. I do remember noticing the music, but may have found it interesting and not thought about how out of place it was.

Kojak episodes really aren't that good in that regard. The Betrayal (one of my favorites) always struck me like that. The music is sort of cool, but not very befitting of the scenes, especially the ending. They do hit it once in a while though. Watch Acts of Desperate Men for a better one.

Take Care
