This was a good series, but that thing I'll always remember is Barnaby drinking milk. The producers certainly provided a point of difference writing that into the script.
I'm not sure the producers -- actually there were only 2: Quinn Martin and Phil Saltzman -- added the "milk bit", but I agree it sure worked. In fact, whenever we reached a point that we didn't know what to write next we'd give Buddy a glass of milk. gs
