If remade on TV, who'd be suited for Barnaby?


Personally, I think Sam Elliott would be a great choice now he's gone white haired himself and he's got the right age - and the voice for it. Talk about picture perfect, at least he'd be so here in my opinion. I think his attitude and whole laid back persona would work, and I'm sure he's got a lot of respect for Buddy Ebsen in general. Any other suggestions?

Sam Elliot certainly looks the part but I'm not sure he's "genial" enough.
