Additional footage / the longer cut SPOILER ALERT
It's been stated here before, but I thought I'd confirm that I just got ahold of a VHS copy of "Terror On The Menu" and it does contain two scenes not present in the other home video presentations of this film. They are the two scenes that have been mentioned before as missing: At breakfast after Regina's first night, Evelyn convinces Regina and Edwina to weigh themselves. Then there is a scene before Regina's "final dinner" where Evelyn and Henry are in the kitchen with Baby John. Evelyn stirs a "soup pot" that has a free-floating human foot in it, and she gives Henry this large jar that contains severed fingers. Henry acts like she just gave him the most precious thing in the world, and he starts to eat one. The rest of the film appears to be no different; I clocked this version at approximately 76 minutes. My VHS copy is Canadian and plays on US machines; I had previously thought that only PAL versions of this cassette existed for European markets, but now I know that's not true. This particular video box features stills on the back that are not from the movie at all, but interestingly, one of the still does seem to feature Linda Gillin, although it's so small it's hard to tell.
I was a little disappointed to find out that there wasn't anything noticeably new other than those two scenes; I was hoping for a little more gore, like when Regina discovers the heads in the freezer.
I would love for even more footage to appear, but I suspect that this version with the weighing scene and the fingers scenes are the only additional scenes that exist. The 90 minute runtime seems a little too generous. It would mean that at least 14 more minutes of footage exist, and that seems way too much for this film, as it would have to be a pretty serious subplot that was cut from the movie. If anybody else has seen any additional scenes other than the ones mentioned here, I'd appreciate you posting about it. Thanks!
