If they did a new re-make of this film...

Ok sometimes we like to see older films like this re-made don't we, with newer stars and maybe some newer (and allegedly better) storylines.

So think about it, after watching this film (from 1972) again, who would you like to play the roles in a possible re-make ?

reply

I would actually be very disappointed if they remade this. This movie is a classic and should be left alone as is. In my opinion, anyways.

Robert Englund might be a good Mr. Grimsdyke. I'd rather them not remake so that's only if they had to.

reply

Thats not a bad shout, Freddy Kruger as the old man Grimsdyke!

How about Anjelina Jolie/Kate Beckinsale/Jessica Alba as Joan Collins's cheating muredrous wife character 😉

reply

I agree that a re-make would be a bad idea, but if they did, then I could see John Hurt as Mr Grimsdyke. He'd be about the right age for the character too.

reply

Michael Sheen (the British actor) actually looks a lot like the character who picked on Grimsdyke, and yes thats a good idea about John Hurt playing the old man.

I thought the same thing when I saw the film the other night. I even checked the film credits to see if it was a young Michael Sheen playing the part.

reply

I guess they could remake it, but it wouldn't have to be the same five stories would it?

reply

No I suppose not, but they would surely do the Grimsdyke story, that was one of the best ones.

reply

Agreed.
