Topol is great here and saves what could of been a lukewsrm at best potboiler, mia has moments but shes not entirely convincing (goldie hawn wouldve been perfect) the soundtrack by john barry is perfect though. i havent seen topol in a lot of stuff but i loved him here
I'm not a raging Mia Farrow fan, but whenever I see her in something I'm more and more impressed.
She's FLAWLESS in this! Extremely naturalistic. I think someone overly giddy like Goldie Hawn would have made the film too sacharine sweet. The heroine's going through a marriage breakup, after all, and Farrow brings a real poignancy to the role.
