My thoughts exactly.
I am not a complete idiot. Some parts are missing.
Last Saturday, April 26th, 2008, I went to a screening of Terence Malick's Badlands at the IFC Theatre in NYC, because Sissy Spacek herself was in person for a Q&A session after the screening of which I was present. Ms. Spacek was very gracious and down to earth and even stayed for a while after the screening to sign autographs and pose for pictures for her fans. When I met her, I gave her my DVD copy of PRIME CUT to sign her autograph, which she did. But her reaction was of great surprise that of all her films, PRIME CUT was on DVD( her remark was "Oh, My God!") and she laughed when she saw the DVD cover. I told her that PRIME CUT must have given her some good memories and her humourous response was, "It sure does!"

shareI never found her attractive but she is cute in this. They really must have used a ton of makeup to hide all of her freckles but they did a good job of it. Most attractive I've ever seen her. Although the other 2 women in the movie are downright knockouts.

Initially didn't recognize Sissy until I heard her talk. Now I understand how she won beauty contests in her youth. Born in December of 1949 she was 22 here and 26/27 in Carrie and 30/31 in Coal Miner's Daughter. What happened to her during the 1970s? Was she a sun worshipper? Perhaps too much sun affected her looks between Prime Cut and Coal Miner's Daughter!
Her freckles may have developed because of being in the sun too much.
Movie was a very long way from the worst one I ever saw!!!
Sissy was supposed to play Sissy in Urban Cowboy, (who the studio heads wanted)but supposedly she had a disagreement with John T and passed...The studio heads didn't want Deb Winger as she wasn't pretty enough...told my lady and she snorted "Deb is a lot prettier than Sissy !"
