Suicide, rape, and the perpetually offended

The "suicide scene" at the museum was hilarious, one of the finest comedic moments in Allen's career. It was not advocating suicide in general nor meant to make fun of the psycho claiming she was going to kill herself on Saturday. The "rape scene" wasn't funny and I don't think it was intended to be funny. Its intent was to amplify the budding love affair between Allan and Linda: they can and will talk about anything, even dark rape/sex fantasies. That conversation wasn't advocating rape nor saying all women secretly want to be raped, and even if that were Linda's point of view that would have been hers and hers alone. And that talk ended with Linda saying she'd beat the rapist senseless.

Artistic license and all. You perpetually offended PC warrior idiots really are tiresome, and frequently incorrect in your forced interpretations. Next you'll complain that movies about infidelity are crude and insensitive because, well, you know, lots of people have been hurt in relationships. Sniff..sniff...boo hoo hoo. You pathetic self-appointed arbiters of "appropriate" art.
