I wonder how they got Perry Farrell and Taylor Swift to be in this movie. I'm pretty sure Taylor wasn't even born yet!

The magician's gum-chewing assistant was actually one of the locals, a real estate agent from the Murphys area named Joanne Riggs. She and her husband, Jim, were the local point contacts for the studio who helped set up the locations and local talent.

For some reason, I always laugh when Niles says "He ain't even real Chinese, he has tape over his eyes." I don't know why, but I always find that line funny.

Because it **is** funny. I grew up in an era where there were still side shows at carnivals, and this was indeed the kind of stuff they would do. The "gypsy" fortune teller was usually Mexican or maybe Armenian.
