An absolute gem

This is one of my all time favourites. As I understand it, Michael Winner and Charles Bronson met while making this, and agreed to do more films together, hence the Death Wish films, and the western Chato's Land.
I always felt that the Death Wish films were a waste of Charles Bronson's talent, enjoyable though they are.

I agree, this is a great film, brings back memories of first time I saw it as a kid when it blew me away.

I agree that all the "Death Wish" films were a waste of Charles Bronson's talent because they prevented him from breaking new ground (except for the first one). This is a terrific thriller and also works as a buddy/anti-buddy movie.
