I know this is an older post but I agree, "The Mechanic" does need a better DVD representation. One with deleted scenes, commentary, outtakes and alternate endings(I've heard one exists). Sign me up!

Only two weeks ago the film's soundtrack by Jerry Fielding was finally released and is doing good business at $20.00 each. Hopefully someone somewhere will take notice and do something about this.

I doubt we'll ever get a special edition DVD of The Mechanic, since MGM has little desire to release their back catalog (except their most famous films) other than in bare-bones editions. I'd love all the extras mentioned, but I'm pretty happy with the current edition.
