I hear that VCI Entertainment is going to be releasing The Legend on Boggy Creek on October 31st! They are also going to be releasing info about the special features on the DVD soon!

Any word on a widescreen version? Only pan& scan out now. I've heard rumor that original negative cannot be found?

I've spoken to VCI Entertainment and they're still in the process of acquiring the rights to the film. ETA is still a few months away apparently.

Special features would be a fantastic bonus but even a bare bones edition, as long as they could locate a decent widescreen print, would be great.

I just got this reply from VCI on February 2nd, 2007:

Hello,
Thank you for your email. We are still talking about getting the
rights to the movie. It may be awhile.
