Different DVD editions

Can anyone tell me if there is much difference on the DVDs released so far? Amazon.com lists about 4 different ones, but I doubt they ever really check to seif they are duplicating. I know there are two disctinct DVD releases at least, one with the poster image, one with the creek image.

BTW: Why isn't Travis Crabtree a major star at film conventions....

As far as I'm aware, all the current DVD versions are the same, both in terms of picture quality and running time. There was one DVD available a few years ago, a sort of unofficial release with the yellow cover which looked similar to the US video tape and the quality of this was awful. If you come across this one do't waste your cash.

The Hen's Tooth release is reputed to be the best release so far, but that's not saying much. Picture quality is pretty ordinary: low contrast, washed-out colours, terrible panning and scanning. Fortunately there aren't TOO many scratches and bits of dust etc, and the sound quality is OK. I doubt Lowry is going to clean this up anytime soon, but if someone could do a decent transfer from a widescreen print, it would be most welcome.

Hey Danny, you've definitely got my attention. A remake of Boggy Creek? A 2.35:1 DVD release of the original as a special feature? Both sound awesome. Please, tell us more.
