Unquestionably. It's taken for granted to the extent they don't even list it in greatest ever lists. They just start with #2.

The music surprised me with it's melancholy country nostalgic vibe. I wish I knew of more good indie movies from this era.

One of my favorite movies of all time. Obviously not a cinematic masterpiece, but very influential in its genre and still talked about 40 years later.
