Questions about dubbing/scripting

At last, a Region 4 DVD of "Fist of Fury" courtesy of Hong Kong Legends! It's a very impressive package. One thing that surprised me was how much the Cantonese dialogue differed from the English-dubbed dialogue (I don't speak Cantonese, but I'm judging by the English subtitles.) It looks almost as if the English dubbing was ad-libbed to match the action on screen.

Also, was the film shot without sound? Even the Cantonese soundtrack didn't seem to match the actors' lips perfectly.

Looking forward to the other Bruce Lee HKL DVDs due to be released later this year.

For what I know from the stuff I've watched. None of Bruce's movies had mics on set. They were all dubbed, and in fact, the only time Bruce's real voice is heard is some dubbing for Return (Way of) the Dragon, and the voice of the Russian in Fist of Fury/Chinese Connection; and of course -- Enter the Dragon.

Bruce's films were originally released in HK dubbed in Mandarin only. The Cantonese dubs are from a later period
