Banned in Singapore?

I have no idea where I heard this, but I thought this film was banned in Singapore. According to my dimming memory, there was such a huge lineup to see this film on opening day that the Singaporean police couldn't maintain order so they had to ban it altogether. Does anyone know anything about this?

I don't know about the film being actually "banned" but in the Curse of the Dragon doco it's mentioned that in some Asian countries there were big traffic jams in the city streets because so many people wanted to see the film.

It was def shown there , I've seen the Boss Singapore poster also :)

It was banned after 6 months to give other films a chance. Fist of Fury was taking up the whole market in Singapore LOL. Government decided it was bad for local film makers etc. Bruce made Golden Harvest and Raymond Chow. They would've been nothing without Bruce Lee. And still HK Government or Chow don't give Bruce any lasting tributes. Raymond Chow is sitting on a treasure of unseen & behind-the-scenes footages of Bruce that remains locked away. One example - Henry Wong recorded 5 hours or so on the set of Enter the Dragon that was given to Chow back in 1973. Parties have been trying to gain access to these rare footages but Chow is being unreasonable and difficult (so what's new!). Ofcourse they won't tell you this is true :)

I heard they are going to make a statue of Bruce in HK soon.

They'd sooner make a museum for Roman. *rolls eyes*
But I agree. There should be a statue.
