Where to get a subbed version of this?

Hey guys-- where can I find a version of this DVD that has a subtitled version? I got the dubbed version off amazon and it was so incredibly awful that while I felt terrible for doing it, I cut it off in the middle. Words cannot possibly hope to encapsulate just how bad the dub is: it ruined what seemed like could have been a cool movie. Jet Li's Fist of Legend (remake of this) is one of my favorite martial arts movies, so I was hoping for a lot from this, but the dubbing ruined it.

Any ideas where to find a real version of this film?

If you've got a region 2 DVD player then the Hong Kong Legends release is the best with a choice of subtitles or dubbing (subs better of course, the dubbing ruins an awesome martial arts masterpiece).

Hope that helps.

If you are in the UK then get the Platinum edition from Play.com you can change between subs or dubbing on that one.

Buy the FOX R1 box set. It has subbed versions of The Big Boss, Fist of Fury and Way of the Dragon along with English versions of Game of Death and Game of Death 2 (both of which should be avoided).

why does everybody hate dubbing?

for me it just makes the film better when you laugh at awful dubbing

I dont like dubbing in these movies becuase it makes bruce lee look and sound stupid.

I think it's funny, makes me laugh when I hear the dubbing. Most of them sound like mafia mobsters.

I was disappointed that the GoodTimes Home Video CD (1998) had been cut (103 minutes), bad color, dubbed (often times bad enough that I could not tell if they were speaking English or Chinese), and had no subtitles or captions.

Bruce Lee The Ultimate Collection

It has The Big Boss, Fist of Fury, Way of the Dragon, Game of Death, and Game of Death 2, with the first 3 movies having the option of Cantonese/Mandarin/English voices and English sub.
