Is this a true story?

In the trivia section, it mentions the real life Chen Zhen. Can anyone provide a site or something that tells you more?

I don't know anything on the subject, but this should be brought back up because it's very curious.

According to the new DVD commentary by Bey Logan the producers were doing background research for the film and came across a list of students of the real Jing Wu Men school. One of the names on the list was Chen Zhen, the producers thought that was a cool-sounding name and gave it to Lee's character. There seems to be little or no other information about the real-life individual, so I don't know where the IMDB Trivia note comes from.

About as true as "Saving Private Ryan" was to the D-Day invasion of Normandy.
Some historical facts, esp the foreign occupation of Shanghai, Jing Wu school's master etc. Chen's story was probably for the most part fiction, even if they used a real-life character. And obviously, "if" the real Chen went around helping his fellow citizen fight against foreign oppression like many martial arts schools really did back then, he probably wasn't such a big deal that they had to execute him, thus living through the days.
