As the movie begins, the narrator talks about this being a famous story. He then mentions that this is the most famous legend of Chen. Have there been other film adaptations as well? Does anyone know of other versions of the story?

Jet Li's excellent "Fist of Legend" is a remake to this movie.

There is also Jet Li's Fearless. It is story of the teacher all the way up to his death.
