Does anyone know if this film can be remastered for a crystal clear version in High Definition? The regular version (even for DVD) still seems two dimensional in both sound and photography. It would be great to see one.

Cool, did it look HD? You know what I mean right? The picture is so clear that you can see the individual snow flakes brush against Redford's hair or you can see the fibrous quality of Bear Claw's dusty beard, as well as the items inside Bear Claw's cabin....stuff like that.
I recently saw the remasterd Godfather trilogy and was amazed at the clarity. I also saw things in the background that I didn't notice in mulitple viewings with older versions.
