Who's singing?

Can anybody tell me who's singing the title song?

reply

Tim McIntyre (son of John McIntyre, actor and Jeanette Nolan, actress), actor in his own right (played Huey in Brubaker). Score was composed by John Rubenstein, son of composer Arthur Rubenstein. John is an actor as well and in the 70's played a series of homicidal killers. Now he is often seen as a judge on Law and Order.

I've always had a question about that song. I was working as an usher when the movie came out and remember the lyrics as such:

The way that you wander is the way that you choose,
The day that you tarry is the day that you lose.

(Now here's my question)

Sunshine or thunder, a man will always [wonder or wander]
where the fair winds blow... where the fair winds blow.

Wonder rhymes better, while wander fits better. So which is it?

I just watched the DVD and turned subtitles on, the line is "a man will always wonder."

I've always assumed that the double-meaning of the similar sounding words "wander" and "wonder" was 100% intentional. This is a very old technique in songwriting.
One other example that comes to mind: Supertramp's "Fool's Overture", which features the line, "Too late, the prophets (profits) cried."
Both spellings/meanings were actually printed thusly on the album's lyric sheet.
