Does anybody know what type/brand of gun Paints-His-Shirt-Red is holding over his lap in the first scene that he is in - the one where he's watching JJ stumbling around in the water, trying to catch the fish?
It's an over-under, with a large, shotgun-type bore on top, and a rifle bore underneath.

I don't know who the maker of the gun is ( or even if what I'm about to describe is the same type of gun) but when I was in grade school (back when this would have been allowed) There was one of my friends who was a American indian who at various times brought heirlooms to show. One time he brought a rifle ( his dad actually brought it in) that had two barrels, one a shotgun and the other a rifle. It was called a twist barrel(or swivel barrel ) in that you twisted the barrel to the top that you wanted to use. Neat gun that I've never seen recreated modern.Hard to even find an image

It could also have been what is called a cape gun.
