Disappointing
Not the film itself, but Robert Redford's character that's based on a real person, did supposedly cut out the livers of people and eat it. I expected to see that. This didn't happen in the film for some reason.

shareIt's not a documentary. Consumption of human livers would probably not been acceptable in a film made in 1972. If this is your bent, stick to modern zombie flicks.
shareOk, but when i first read it on Wikipedia that the person it was based and i just assumed (Should not have) it would feature such a scene. Not really a big deal to me but, i liked the film.
shareFilm was also disappointing. Relatively boring and seemed to fit with the theme of over rated 70's movies that are just average at best (like Cabaret, Clockwork Orange, American Graffiti, Deliverance among those)
shareThose you listed are overrated? This one maybe, not not the others!

A Clockwork Orange overrated? You're a damn fool. I suppose Lord of the Rings wasn't overrated, or the Matrix. Learn about cinema before you post such nonsense.
shareApparently, a lot of people tend to have this need to root for the main character - and even did so in times as cinematically rad as 1972. It's pretty difficult to root for, or even tolerate, a guy who eats other people's livers.
"facts are stupid things" Ronald Reagan
Liver-Eating Johnson never actually ate Crow Indian livers. Google it.
shareYou might do well to seek professional psychiatric help if you truly desire to see anyone cut livers out of bodies and eat them, on film, Snusmumrikken. 😟
