Cushing has a similarly amusing line in AT THE EARTH'S CORE (1976): "You cannot mesmerize me... I'm British!"

And then there was the Doctor Who episode where the Brig explains that a particularly sensitive task has been assigned to the British -- because they're the only country everyone can trust.

I was coming here to say the same thing. The sheer Englishness of it Reminded me of a line from And Then There Were None:

I laughed.. great tension breakimg line.. and Cushing looked said it in a matter-of-fact kind of way.
