Interpretation of a quote

"When they find those bodies back there, they'll be a hunting party out for us, and I want time to take one year of my life out of Lago before we move on."

When the leader of the trio coming to punish Lagos said the following, did he mean that he would get a year in prison for the crime of killing he was about to commit?

Thanks.

Civility and restraint on a message board?!

I applaud your decorum, Mr. Noonmaths.

Thanks, I always try whenever I can not to inflame a situation (though I admit I sometimes enjoy making people more angrier when they want to pick a fight with me).

For example, people in cars who hoot they horn at me. Why bother responding in kind, especially as you are possibly not going to see that person again?

This is a book which has helped me stay in the 'now', i.e. in the present moment. I would recommend this book to anyone. We do much thinking with our head (which is related to a false ego) and not enough with our spirit.

I like to think that if a family member was killed, I would not want to add to a hostile atmosphere by seeking the death penalty for the murderer, but instead forgive that person, if he repents.

And the first word in a sentence usually begins with a capital letter.

Yep, Lago cost him one year of prison, and he wants to make Lago pay appropriately for that year.
