Favorite Scene?

I love when Lenny goes out to dinner with Kelly (Cybill Shepherd) and her parents (Eddie Albert, Audra Lindley)and announces his intentions to divorce his wife and marry Kelly. I love this scene because even though Grodin has the majorite of the dialogue in the scene, the majority of the acting is done by Albert and Lindley, who say nary a word, but their facial expressions speak volumes regarding this crazy young man trying to claim their daughter. I love this scene...this was the clip they showed at the Oscars for Eddie Albert's supporting actor nomination.

I completely agree...
That's as funny a scene as I have ever watched. It's hard to believe Eddie was in green acres! No one IMOP can raise their voice and be so convincingly mad as Eddie was in this scene and back in Minnesota as he tried to pay off Groden's character to get lost.

Hey! You can't fight in here...this is the war room!!

I love the scene when Grodin returns to his hotel room to tell his wife that he's been in a car accident. A more blatant instance bare faced lying has never been put on film!

When Lenny finally tells Lila their marriage is over and she thinks he's dying.

That's my favorite too!

The final scene is a classic.

Gotta say: The whole movie is: "the final scene"
No one in the film really gets it. What makes it sad. Tragic. And, yes, very funny.
