One of the most underrated films ever made

This film is a masterpiece, every performance is pitch perfect, the direction is impeccable, of course the script is flawless as well, and I think that in many ways this is much better than The Graduate which I also love, but I say this because Heartbreak never relies on fancy editing techniques, Antonioni inspired use of space and much less non diegetic music to carry the story along - it's much more raw and relentlessly probing when it comes to its characters and truly highlights and pushes every actor in it to their extreme, all of whom give career best performances here. Sad to see that there's just a 6.9 rating for it here, this film is a 10 in every way.

I agree.

Off topic slightly, but I LOVE the scene showing the greyhound bus while "Close To You" plays. It appears to be an alternate version of the song. I've looked for it for years, but have never found it.
