I saw the remake before the original (didn't know there was an original, although I had heard the term "heartbreak kid" before) and I gotta say, the original is so much better.

Very funny movie.

The only other thing I've seen Cybil Shepard in was Taxi Driver, but she's such a beauty in this- conventional, yet stunning.

Anyway, I hope this comes out on DVD again because it's a great film.

Aren't they all? I groan in dismay every time I see the remake dumped ad nauseum into our subscription tv schedule. 'Tis a pity we can't see the original film very much anymore. As always, I will probably have to hunt down a decent DVD version if I can find one.
