Charles Grodin / Owen Wilson

It struck me whilst watching this movie, how similar the voice tone & style of delivery are between Owen Wilson & Charles Grodin.
When Grodin was digging himself further into a hole whilst trying to win over Kelly's father, I could hear Wilson in You, me & Dupree wanting to find the Carl-ness.
Anyone else?

I agree. If a good remake could be made (which I don't think it can be - the one with Ben Stiller was just stupid IMO) he would be perfect!

I see no prob with Stiller doing it.
The scriptwriters need to keep in mind Neil Simon's screenplay.
This was NY Jewish humor, screenwritten by a NY Jew & directed by a NY Jew.
The Irish simply wouldn't get the subtleties.
This is cultural humor.
