Fake.

How many of you actually knew it was fake when you read the book or watched the movie? I don't think it's right that it is being advertised as a true life diary. I've read fictional diaries before about drugs and what not, so why couldn't they've just written that across the cover. I don't think the book would be as popular, but I'd still like to know .... maybe just put it in the epilogue or something.

I think it's worse that the one who wrote is a Mormon and probably hasn't dealt with anything or most things that she wrote about.

I remember reading it when I was a kid and I thought it was pretty creepy and I actually believed it to be a true story. But now I find it kinda stupid and improbable that a junkie would actually have the desire or motivation or train of thought to keep a diary at all.
