Changed my life

I found the book in the school library when I was 14.

I already knew that I wanted to be a writer, but when I read this book I KNEW that I wanted to write about "sex, drugs and rock'n'roll", only the drug part would be about their "dangers" - I'm talking REAL drugs, mainly coke and heroin.

When I was a kid I also wanted to be a rock star, but I didn't have the patience (or talent, really) to learn how to play an instrument, and my "singing" is *beep* but I did know how to dream, so I turned that dreaming into story writing.

Even though I didn't do any writing for a few years after my first daughter was born I've gotten back into the groove with a vengeance. Fortunately for me we now have the Internet and social media to help me spread my word.
