This movie would turn up as a "Dialing For Dollars" presentation every 3 months or so in the mid 70's. The last time I saw it was in the early 80's during a "Doctor Shock" show (he'd show two horror movies Saturday afternoon). I always loved it but haven't seen it it at least 20 years.

I wonder if anyone here can help me with another horror film (possibly made for TV) from the same time. It was about 2 (married) couples traveling in a RV who stumble upon a witch ceremony. The movie revolves around them being chased by the Coven and ends with them stopping someplace at night to sleep thinking that they are safe, but then you see flames surround the RV as the Coven finally captures them. It ends on a down note, but I think that was what I liked best about it. I remember that one of the stars was someone that was regularly on TV in the early and mid 70's. I can see his face but I couldn't recall his name to save my life.

Gargoyles is a hoot now, but as a 7 year old in 1972, this movie scared the hello out of me.

The movie you're referencing is Race with the Devil and had Peter Fonda, Warren Oates and Loretta Swit. It came out in 1975 and was another scary flick... not because of what it showed, but because of what it DIDN'T show. Today's horror movies concentrate more on gore rather than suspense.

TBS used to show Race With The Devil in the afternoons back in the 1980s and 1990s.

That's it! And it's in my Netfix queue now. I had completely forgotten that Loretta Swit was in it.

That movie is called Race with the Devil. Release on DVD recently

I really can't help you with the movie you are looking for, sorry for that. I never saw it.
But if you saw Gargoyles many times I have a question for you. I-m looking for a movie I saw in the 80's and I'm not sure if it's Gargoyles or not. It started with a voice in off saying something like "...every 500 years the Gargoyles come to life to renew their war on men..." And at the same time they were showing Stone Gargoyles in Churches or other buildings. I also remeber a man driving in a car through a dusty desert area and the shadow of a flying gargoyle passing over the car.
Is the movie I remember Gragoyles? Thanks
