Before a shoot-out, Luke was asked where in the west he was from. His answer was Rhode Island. I have not seen the film for awhile but that is how i remember that scene. Not all cowboys came from texas. Some of the whole in the wall gang came from the east. the west is west and the east is east and the wrong one...ha ha ha. go west young man. many did, and carved out a history good or bad.

I have this movie on tape and just watched it on tv, but it seems that part has been cut out.
I remember that clearly.
But it is nowhere to be found on the video copy I have.
It was a very telling comment.
When I first saw this great western as a very young man on TV back in the late 70's (on BBC TV) I clearly remember that scene... from memory the line's go Little Mary: "Is this the way they do it in texas?" Luke: "Texas?" LM: "that's where you're from isn't it?" L: "Rhode Island"...years later I saw the movie on video and again on tv and now have it on dvd yet that scene is nowhere to be seen? What hapenned to it? it's a great scene in a great movie!
