Country Beer garden
Planning a European trip next year and would like to visit the country beer garden where the boy sings his song. Does anyone know where it is located?

I know this is too late, but IMDb says "Beigarten, Bavaria, Germany," and if you look at that in Google Maps it does look isolated in the country and like the location.
Perhaps someone with the DVD could compare buildings to the Maps image.

They were shown driving to Max's country estate, the location of which isn't mentioned. No reason to assume it wasn't some distance from Berlin.
