Maybe This Time
Was the song Maybe This Time written for the film? If so, surprised it got no Oscar nomination as the nominees that year were far from great songs.
shareIt wasn't in the Kander and Ebb score for the original Broadway production. Kander and Ebb wrote it, but not for the movie version. They may have written it specifically for Liza Minelli ... I'm not sure ... but she recorded it on two albums that preceded the movie. So, as a song it was already out there, and wasn't eligible to be nominated for Original Song.
