I have it on VHS! It is the 1960's! Like the song Norwegian Wood. In fact I meant to bring it with me tonight to watch it and see how Goldie adds lines to the OP. But I ran out the door too fast and left it behind.

I believe the play was originally set in New York City. For the movie, they moved the setting to San Francisco.
Eileen Heckart, as Mrs Baker, has some of the greatest lines I've ever heard. That Oscar was well-deserved. (I understand she originated that role on Broadway.)
