Why Can't an Official DVD be launched of this movie?

Now that Michael Jackson has died, cannot the moguls at professional studios who decide on DVD releases finally release "Ben" on DVD?
(I'm not talking about all those cheaply produced or recorded copies, made by individuals in their garage, available on the Internet).
A lot of people likely want to see this film, if only because of the Michael Jackson hit, and the curiosity surrounding the fact it's a song about a boy's love for a rat depicted in the movie.
As for myself, I recall seeing Ben at a drive-in theater as a kid in 1972, enjoyed it immensely at the time, and would like to see it again after all these decades.

Which company owns this and Willard?

We need to know which distributor this thing belongs to

I refuse to argue on IMDB until the general populous actually uses their brains

I see no reason in the world why this film shouldn't be on DVD already along with the original Willard. I think not only fans of the original and fans of horror films in general would buy it, but also fans of Michael Jackson's as you said before. It's not like this film and Willard are some obscure movies only 3 people have ever heard of. They are pretty well known among horror fans so I believe lots of people would buy the films if they'd just hurry up and release them already. This movie is one of my favorite films of all time and I would love to own a copy of it on DVD to go along with my VHS copy.

Come, fly the teeth of the wind. Share my wings.
