Pun Song

Hiya.Been a fan of this movie since it's original release, watched it as a kid and had the soundtrack on vinyl. Can please, pretty please, anyone tell me the punchline of the March Hare for the riddle: What did the father ghost say to his son? Any right answer would be appreciated, been waiting over 30 years to figure it out, hard to understand Peter Seller's line to it.

Spook when you are spooken to. (Not "Spookum" - what's that?)
Victorian parents and nannies would say to their children "Speak when you are spoken to." All part of the idea that children should be seen and not heard.
The spook joke was current in playgrounds in the 1950s & 60s.
