Cheshire-Cat scene WAS filmed
Roy Kinnear had more material and would have had more screen time as the Cheshire-Cat, but for some reason, the scene with him and Fiona (Alice)
Fullerton wound up on the cutting-room floor. It's an iconic moment in the book and in other productions of "Alice"--it's absence in this film is conspicuous.
Kinnear was positioned on the branch of a tree in the woods with a air-compressed device to make his tail wag. Maybe it was a problem with the invisibility effect or an issue with time. I doubt the latter, because lots of time is spent on dance numbers...
It looks from new poster art that someone with rights to this film is trying to cash in on the popularity of Tim Burton's/Disney's version...
I only hope whatever DVD is re-released is better than any so far.
