Funniest episode
For me, it's a tie between "Elizabeth Vs. Poltergeist" and "Johnboy Meets The Hindenburg".

shareFunniest episode??!!! The one with the Hindenburg!! You must have an extremely morbid sense of humor.....
shareIt's the "special effects". They are so ridiculous that I can't stop laughing every time they show Johnboy against that screen with the Hindenburg footage playing on it in black and white.
shareProbably the one where Zeb and Ike spike the lemonade that Elizabeth and Aimee are selling with some of the Baldwin sister's recipe.
There's this huge line of men waiting for some of the 'regular' lemonade while Zeb tells the girls to sell the pink lemonade to the ladies (because it has no recipe in it). When Cora Beth discovers what they're doing, it's priceless.

What episode is that--for whatever reason, I can't recall that scene...

Season 6, episode 21 "The Revelation". It's the one where John Boy is engaged to marry Daisy Garner.

Neither of those ever struck me as funny. But The Anniversary is a straight-up comedic episode (and The Celebration has moments that lean that way). Both S6 episodes, if that's worth anything.
shareI can't think of an episode that was funny but there were wonderfully comedic moments in a lot of them. One that comes to mind is the episode where Ashley Longworth is camping out at "The Baldwin Sisters" house and Corabeth comes in and he "flirts" with her and she is appalled. The end of that scene where he says, "call me Ash, .....Cora....!" Corabeth's reaction is priceless! I also love the funny moments in the first season episode where John Ritter makes his first appearance as Rev. Fordwick and the kids come in the kitchen soaking wet in their bathing suits along with Zeb... Half naked from the top... And hey embarrass Olivia and Grandma in fro t of the self righteous missionary... The lady hat was "weaned on lemons"... According to John. And when Esther and Zeb start bickering.....and my favorite comical moment was in "The Thanksgiving Story" where the Baldwin sisters wanted to adopt Jason. Jon Walmsley's look of terror when he sees Olivia's reaction when she finds out he's been working for them is priceless, yet poignant at the same time. Oh, and the episode where John Boy is asked to write a sermon and Grandma is pounding on the dresser with the paper falling repeatedly on the floor..... Pure magic and laughs in that scene. When John Boy asks her at the end..."did you hurt your hand?" That was also funny, yet poignant as well.
shareOne of the funniest moments - not necessarily episode - was in the final season when Corabeth is trying to sell the mill to an outsider. Her delivery of this line was hysterical.
Corabeth: Why the trees practically walk themselves into the mill and hurl themselves onto the saw.
Funniest scene for me is when Johnboy and Grandpa are sitting in the creek in the raw and Grandpa gets up. Wait I think that's a blooper.

They were actually in the hot springs together in season 2's The Heritage. They were both shirtless. Don't know if they were completely in the raw.

There was a blooper when Will Geer stands up to reveal his white behind. Richard Thomas falls apart laughing.
