i havent heard any drama

i know john boy (richard) and zeb (will) were huge pranksters

and would be joined by john ritter

did the cast get tired of it?

ralph waite seemed like he could be an impatient man

From what I've seen and read, they all got along great. Guest stars always seemed to comment about what a great set it was to play on.

The actors who played the kids all called Ellen Corby 'Grandma'. And I think some were in each others' weddings.
